Coaching is a purposeful conversation between us that focuses on designing a life that you truly desire.  It is meant to motivate and inspire you to lead your life, to create the balance you desire and to expand your emotional prowess.

I practice Co-Active Coaching and am committed to creating transformational conversations. The Co-Active coaching philosophy believes that coaching is chiefly about discovery, awareness and choice and is more than simply problem-solving, attaining goals and/or improving performance (although all three of these will happen along the way). Through a powerfully designed alliance, we co-create a change experience that helps you get reconnected to who you are, get unstuck and create a contagious environment for personal growth and expansion.

The efficacy of coaching is also supported by neuroscientific research. In short, coaching directs your brain to minimize (and eventually negate) the pathways that block your potential by forming fresh and productive ones, thereby creating lasting and beneficial impacts.

Co-Active coaches do not believe their clients are broken or need to be fixed. Rather, we believe you are the expert in your own life. Coaches are objective allies who are there to help you enhance and expand things that are going well and realign and learn from things that are not. Coaching is possibility and action driven and provides a space for self-exploration that promotes deep understanding of where you are right now.

It should also be acknowledged the differences between some types of therapy and personal coaching aren’t always clear-cut. The two do share some common ground, and many therapists are “coach-like“ in their orientations. Coaching can also feel very therapeutic in nature, however, as coaches we are ethically bound by guidelines which prevent us from practicing beyond our scope and, thereby, referring our clients to therapy as necessary.

In order to begin a coaching relationship with me, you need to:

  • Be ready to change.
  • Be ready to get comfortable with being uncomfortable for the sake of your growth and happiness.
  • Be open-minded, curious, honest and committed.
  • Be brave.
  • Be willing to invest in yourself behaviorally, emotionally and financially.
  • Have topics in your life you would like to talk about and a few you don’t.

As your coach, I will take a stand for you to:

  • Make completely resonant and conscious choices in all that you do.

When I take a stand for these things, I do everything in my power to support, encourage, empower, advocate, stretch and challenge you. I create a safe and courageous space to help you set intentions, make plans, increase your satisfaction, get things done, get out of your own way and get in touch with what actually matters to you. I am extremely passionate about coaching, and I WILL ALWAYS take a stand for you.

Our coaching sessions occur either by Zoom or by telephone – it is your choice. I am currently located in Waterloo, Ontario, but you don’t have to be. We can connect from anywhere on the globe. Whichever method you choose and wherever you live, my request is that you come to our sessions in a quiet setting, free from distractions.
